To create a new message just go to the first tab Message and tap the top-right icon Create.
You'll need to:
- Select a destination group (learn about creating groups here)
- Enter a title for this message
- Enter your text message
- Attach photos/videos to your message (this is an optional step)
- Attach files to your message as Cloud Links (this is an optional step)
Placeholders
When you create a message you can use specific contact fields that will be replaced with actual values when the message is sent. The placeholders can be quickly added using the utility bar that will show up above the keyboard.
- [FirstName] - the contact first name field
- [LastName] - the contact last name field
- [Prefix] - the contact prefix field
- [Company] - the contact organization/company field
Photo/Video attachments
You can tap on the Media Icon to add photos/videos from your Photo Gallery. Just tap the files in the exact order your want them to be attached inside a message.
The attached files will be displayed in a grid view below the message body. The following actions are available:
- Tap to preview photo/video
- Long-press to delete photo/video
Cloud Link attachments
You can tap the Cloud Icon to attach files in your "Files" app that are stored on your servers. You just select a file on your device and the app will auto-generate a SendHype Cloud Link that will be inserted at the end of your message. When a person receives the message the Cloud Link will automatically be previewed like the file was actually attached to your message. Recipients can even play the video or audio file right from the Messages app. You can read more details about this feature here.
Removing messages
When you want to delete an existing message just go to the messages list, swipe left on a message and then tap Delete. This will permanently delete the selected message.
Duplicating messages
When you want to duplicate an existing message just go to the messages list, swipe right on a message and then tap Duplicate. This will create a copy of the original message, a copy that is ready to be sent again.
